Our Commitment

The Martin Richard Foundation is proud to invest in local youth programs that foster civic engagement. We recognize the transformative power of youth development and leadership and, through our grant making, we aim to help existing nonprofits deepen their impact across communities.

Grants

Funding from the Martin Richard Foundation stems from relationships built by our Board of Directors with non-profit partners and youth groups in the community. Grants will support nonprofit organizations that address social equity through:

Youth Development
Empowering, educating and leading young people to be agents of change in their communities through leadership training and opportunities for civic engagement.

Community Building
Supporting diversity, inclusion and social justice through collective action and through programs that ensure the dignity, safety and well-being of all.

Adaptive & Inclusive Efforts
Providing opportunities for people with disabilities to work, play and learn alongside non-disabled peers; ensuring that all people are respected and valued in their community.

Community Initiatives

BRIDGE BUILDERS

Our annual call to service for young people and their teachers.

CHALLENGER SPORTS

Inclusive sports for children with cognitive and physical challenges.

Building Relationships

Our Board of Directors periodically seeks new connections with grassroots initiatives and organizations that share our values. We welcome your sponsorship requests and invitations to learn about new programs.

Formal funding from the Martin Richard Foundation is initiated by the Board of Directors; our office is unable to accept unsolicited proposals or conduct an open submission process for grant making.
